In Whittier we boarded the Alaska Marine
Highway System ferry to Valdez. The ferry ride took 7 hours, but
driving would have taken even longer. It was a beautiful sunny day,
so we sat on the deck and enjoyed the scenery of Prince William Sound
the whole way.
We passed this waterfall not long after
leaving Whittier. All the little white dots on the rock are
kittiwakes (a type of seagull).
